About Me

I'm Marcelo, currently living in Toronto. I was born and raised in Brazil. I moved to Canada in 2015 to pursue my master degree, graduated in 2017 (thesis project).

My background spans more than a decade of UX, product and digital design, mostly in agencies and studios, which means I've rarely had the luxury of owning one project for long. But it also means I've learned to navigate the challenges of solving unique issues for different business needs. I gained experience in understanding each client's products and collaborating with them on innovative solutions for their problems. 

I have great experience working with cross functional teams and solving complex problems through design, taking projects from strategy to production.

I care deeply about how design lives outside Figma. I'll prototype with Principle, Figma Make or Rive. I'll bring ideas to life in code when needed, and stay close to the development process until what ships actually matches what I intended. I don't deliver just flat designs. I bring is research-led decisions, a system-level thinking, and a deep commitment to craft.
